About Friendship & Metcalf

Founded in 1848 at a site about 2 miles outside the township of Metcalfe, Ga., Friendship Baptist Church is one of the oldest congregations in the Georgia Baptist Convention.
The present building was constructed in 1889-90 and the Church was dedicated July 1890. Friendship Baptist has served the community continiously to the present time.
Pastored by Rev. Charles and Jean Neely(cjneely@windstream.net) we are a small, warm and friendly gathering who would like to welcome you into our fellowship.
Directions are as follows;
From Thomasville on SR-122 turn left at the sawmill on Monroe St.. The church is located about 1/4 mile on the right.
From Tallahassee proceed east on US 90 to the junction of SR 59. Turn left and pass thru Miccosukee, cross the Georgia State Line (becomes Ga. SR 122 at the line) and enter Metcalfe. Turn right at the sawmill on Monroe St. and proceed about 1/4 mile. The church is on the right.

The Prayer Chapel is located on the grounds of Friendship.
It was part of Camp Pine Haven which was located ajacent to the church in the 50′s and 60′s.
